A sequence of steps that need to be completed to achieve a result. You may know it as "process", "procedure", "guide" or any other term. Within OpusβGuide we simply call it instructions. These are the basic building block for your documentation.
Instructions can be created in three ways:
- Manually: create instructions from scratch. You will find the "Create Instruction" button in "Instructions" and "All Content".
- Record yourself: with the Chrome extension you can easily record yourself stepping through the process. The extension will take screenshots and create the instruction for you.
- Generate with AI: a great way of having GPT autogenerate your instructions for you. Particularly useful for processes based on public knowledge (e.g. "How To Open an Account with X" or "How to Do Y in X")
Tip: You may come across "Processes" as you navigate across OpusβGuide - these are a legacy concept. If you are only starting out, just ignore anything with "Processes" on them.
